This type of training gives the First Aider greater confidence when the casualty is isolated from professional help for an extended period of time – from hours to days.
Remote Area First Aid training is a 2-day course. Day 1 of this course consists of HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid and Day 2 of this course consists of HLTAID005 – Remote Area First Aid. You must have completed your Day 1 training before you qualify to start Day 2. This booking is only for Day 2. Please contact us for further information about any part of this training.

This course is designed for those who require training that conforms to the recommendations of the Australian Resuscitation Council and provides the knowledge and skills to provide first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation where emergency services may not be able to respond for extended periods.

HLTAID005 – Provide First Aid in Remote Situations
Students are to complete pre course theory via self-paced learning using either our on-line courses or we can send out a workbook and manual. Upon completion of the theory students are required to attend 14 hours of face to face workshop.
A refresher course is available for students who hold a current Remote Area First Aid certificate, in which case there is no pre course theory to complete. Students just attend the face to face workshop
